Emily Turecek, LMHC

Hi! I’m Emily. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in both New York and Massachusetts. I earned a Masters in Education from Cambridge College, and a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I have advanced training including the Maternal Mental Health Intensive Training by Seleni Institute focusing on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief. I am an active member of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA).

My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without pressure, judgment, or needing to have everything figured out.

Together we’ll explore patterns, process difficult experiences, strengthen coping skills, and help you move toward the life you want to build.

When appropriate, we’ll balance insight with practical strategies so therapy feels both supportive and effective.
