Emily Turecek, LCSW

Emily is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in both New York and Massachusetts. Emily earned a Masters in Education from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Emily worked for many years in crisis intervention for the homeless population and housing community in New York City and Boston. As someone who has has made a life and career transition, Emily knows how hard it can be to sort out what really matters to you – and how equally challenging it can be to figure out what to do next. Her passion is in helping others, and truly believes that it is a privilege to work with someone in a therapeutic capacity. Emily has advanced training including the Maternal Mental Health Intensive Training by Seleni Institute focusing on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief.
Emily is an active member of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA).
